"Did you know according to the scale and my BMI I am overweight, this is why the number on the scale is just a number. Compared to a year ago my weight has stayed relatively the same and If I only looke at the number on the scale I could easily be defeated with the lack of progress.
This is why I’ve never had a scale goal. Because if I dive deeper I see that this past year My body fat % went down by 3.7lbs and my muscle mass % is the highest it’s ever been, gaining 8.1lbs of muscle. I gained 1” in my biceps, and lost additional 6” total across my body. The scale doesn’t tell you that I can run 5k in under 21mins or do 200+lbs lifts with ease.
Im in my 3rd year of consistently showing up and the scale will only show a micro piece of that, meanwhile the true results show for themselves in how I show up everyday. "
