传/Chuán (Passing On) – Voices for Distant Worlds is debuting at the LA Art Book Fair @printedmatter_artbookfairs next week! 📍 A polyphonic experiment in authorship and editorial systems, this project stages a dialogue between 21 authentic global voices and 10 fictional personas written by @feixuefeixue —— At its core is a hand-coded system (no generative AI involved), where participant inputs activate poetic texts drawn from a @feixuefeixue written corpus, each output functioning as a trace of mediated human interaction. —— In the physical publication, all authentic submissions are presented independently and in full. Together, the project forms a three-part structure: participant voice, authorial mediation, and system-based arrangement. —— Link in bio to learn more. —— Celebrating our selected contributors in the comments below. #LAABF2026 #PrintedMatter #ArtBookFair #LAABF #BoundlessBound

Join the Breath of Lineage: An Interactive Exhibition on April 3 starting at 2 pm and remaining open until the end of First Friday at the Office of Creative Propulsion’s gallery (131 W. Grace Street). This isn’t just a gallery show—it’s a polyphonic experiment where you are the catalyst. Through creative coding and digital fabrication, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a living archive. * The Experience: Navigate a landscape where Motion, 3D Design, and Creative Coding collide. Explore the mysteries of Null Island and the Maternal Matrix. * The Interaction: Type a single word to trigger unique, generative poems created in real-time. Watch as your “breath” awakens the digital inheritors behind the code. * The Trace: Your inputs are captured and transformed—metabolized from raw data into a “digital cradle song”—eventually finding a permanent home in a physical archive and future publications. Every word is a breath. Every input is a trace. Be part of the collective pulse.

A new chapter in publishing practice unfolded at the Boundless Bound symposium and art book fair. Held over two days at James Madison University, the event invited artists, designers, scholars and students to rethink self-publishing as more than output, as creative research. With talks, hands-on workshops in letterpress, risograph and tunnel books, open-call Pecha Kucha presentations and an art book fair, Boundless Bound collapsed boundaries between disciplines, practice and theory. By positioning zines, comics, artist books and experimental prints as tools for inquiry and exchange, not just finished objects, the event emphasised publishing as a shared, participatory language for making and thinking. My grandmother, Tianyun (meaning heavenly cloud in Mandarin), passed away in the age of 95 on April 28, 2025, in China. Not being able to see her for the last time due to traveling risk with my immigration status in the U.S., I struggled to process my griefs. To Tianyun is a collection of memories and feelings I associate with her through digital images—old photos of her holding me, the textile she created, and layered with my own crafts of weaving and embroidery which I initially learned from her in China. This book is to honor her and commemorate her gentle love and affection through her hands to mine, even that now she is gone, she is still with me when I work with my hands. Forming this book reminds me that I can meet her again every time when I create, re-create, or even just working with my own hands. Happy New Year to all my creative friends 🙌 #artistbook #inmemory #grandma #photozine #bookart
