Where We Meet We Burn
it felt safe, at First, to stand that close,
leaving space for the other to Lean closer, knowing they would,
until the distAnce between
us and the flaMe, didnât feel like distance at all,
until steEpping away felt harder than stepping in

Syncretic (adjective) describes the merging of different beliefs, cultures, and ideas into something new.
Revolution (noun) refers to a change or evolution of perspective, connection, and understanding.
Syncretic Revolution, presented by UCO dance seniors, is the exploration of what can happen when individuality and community meet. What happens when contrasting ideologies donât divide, but instead inform and inspire one another? As four unique individuals, the seniors each bring our own voices, experiences, and ways of seeing the world to the reality of dance.
Join us May 7th at 7:30pm in Mitchell Hall to experience Syncretic Revolution.

desires of the flesh, weakness of the human heart. half. one. obedience. curiosity. temptation. carnal. stranger. guilt. fear. more. the first humansâthe first mistake. reaching for more even though we have everything. pure connection as one. we are each otherâs enemy. in order to latch onto the divine, we have to let go of the earth. weâre covered by this sacred fire. when you come to me, you come to me broken. without a doubt. guilty girl, guilty boy. we can make love. and we can go.Â
