🧗♀️ TEAM BATTLE !
---
How the Team Battle works
Form a team of 3–6 climbers
Write your team name on the board in the gym (make it a good one 😎)
Each boulder is worth points
Every team member who tops it earns those points
At the end, total points are divided by the number of teammates → fair score, teamwork matters
→ This comp is all about fun and climbing together, not about being the strongest 💛

Despite all the overwhelmingly positive reactions to this “great plan”…
It was (of course) an April 1st joke 🐸
The grades are back on the wall where they belong, and for now everything will simply stay graded.
Sorry to everyone who fell for it…
And maybe even more sorry to those who were actually excited about it 😉
Thanks for playing along!
But who knows… maybe one day.
We might experiment with the concept a bit in the future.
And remember: climbing is about a lot more than chasing grades!
Grades are, by definition, subjective.
Don’t let them get in the way of your enjoyment of climbing.
Some of you might have noticed the lack of grades on the wall in our latest set.
That’s no coincidence.
Lately, we’ve been getting more and more frustrated with all the discussions around grading.
Indoor grades don’t make sense anyway. You’d go broke giving a penny for every “7a” climber who wouldn’t stand a chance on a proper 6a+ in Fontainebleau.
And honestly… who cares?
Climbing is supposed to be about having fun. Trying hard. Falling off. Figuring things out. Grades often just get in the way of that.
So we’ve decided to take things a step further.
From now on, we’re removing all grading at Boulderhal Nirvana and @boulderhalwalhalla .
No more numbers. No more grades. Just climbing.
Like when we moved from color grading to the 1–10 system, we believe this is the next step. Other gyms will follow soon.
Expect @boulderhaldecampus and @revoltclimbing to join in the coming weeks.
This way is simply better.
More climbing. More trying. Less ego.
Have fun!
Look who's back! Our strongest teacher is back on monday's training and there are still some slots to join!
