Lovely Agnès's quote on potatoes:
"They sell identical potatoes, packaged in three-kilogram bags. Those that don't meet the standard are thrown away. A truck drives by and dumps the unwanted potatoes—they call them "monsters." When I found a heart-shaped potato—which, from a commercial standpoint, was an absolute monster—I clearly understood what the film should be about. It's about how we live in a perfectly formatted society that rejects you if you're too big or too small. The story with the potatoes, to me, is an allegory of overall intolerance."

Специально по случаю пересмотрел Пса впервые с детского возраста и впечатлился даже сильнее, чем прежде. В фильме вдруг оказалось вшито море отличных способов по проведению лета. Нет, не наёмничество! Можно сидеть на лавочке и есть морожку, читать хорошие книжки и обсуждать их с друзьями, блуждать по городу и респектовать прохожим, красиво наряжаться, путешествовать и понимающе молчать с соулмейтами, глядя в горизонт. Можно строить лодку и верить, что она обязательно поплывёт! А ещё можно отложить уже к чертям оружие, чтобы, например, полюбоваться птицами... Последнее, как по мне, гораздо важнее

Another batch of last year’s snowy photos I failed to post when it was actually the right time. Anw, that was the greatest Maslenitsa I’ve ever experienced: gym-addicted horses, a potato dumplings confession, blood-red wine stains in a snow-white forest🐴🌨️🩸

Sharing some pics from way back in October 2024. The ones I kept trying to find the right words for. And the right moment. For so long that they never were shared. Not in the year I made them, not anytime after (sadly, too much of a typical situation for me)
And today they fit so perfectly with their snow and that little spirit of freedom. And i’ve been wanting to show em so much
And on the one hand, yeah, maybe everything really does have its time. But on the other — I wish for us in this New year, to wait a little less for the perfect moment and to create those moments for ourselves instead
Maybe it all sounds like a terrible cliché, but one of my personal achievements this past year was to get less scared and ashamed of clichés. Especially the ones that actually help me live and do things.
To hell with snobbery, judging tastes, and all that stuff, and the thing that is connected directly to it all — the fear of being judged. I suspect that by forbidding myself to be basic, simple, silly and etc. I’m actually stopping myself from ever making something truly unique
And here’s a little bonus in the last slide: ice crystals dancing in a puddle of mud. Or shit. Or instant coffee. Doesn’t matter
What matters is that it’s beautiful.
