In February 2025, The Safari Collection completed a major conservation milestone: safely ear-notching and fitting 14 endangered Eastern black rhinos with LoRa GPS transmitters.
Combined with last year’s operation, nearly half of the Mara’s rhino population can now be monitored and protected around the clock.
Over 10 days, 35 individual rhinos were identified, with pilots from the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust flying more than 8,000 km to help locate and dart each animal with precision and care.
This is conservation at work.
