This is our grandson, Mars Zion Watkins, born 6/27/2025. Our Miracle Mars. He's a warrior. So much stronger than PaPa. Grim prognosis. But we are irrational. We believe in Miracles. We are a fasting, praying, and believing family. And we're fighting to get him home. If you are so moved, please help us in prayer, faith, declaration, and/or donation to get him home. This one thing got us through 90 episodes in 4 days: Starting every day with a prayer. There was one day we didn’t, Tuesday. We payed for it by starting slow, getting overwhelmed & we didn’t have clear vision as a production team. Then @bospeaks prayed for us & it all turned around and we got clarity and finished the day strong! 🙏🏾🙏🏼 All of this is for His glory! 🫶🏾🫶🏼

[[ UPDATE: 2/27/2026 ]] Even as we prepare for my sister’s funeral. Our grief comes in the midst of gratitude. Mars is out of the medically controlled paralysis and on track to be headed home at some point over the next few weeks. Still in PICU, but we see the strength in his eyes returning. Praise the Lord!!! Also tomorrow is our 34th wedding anniversary. Although we canceled our Anniv trip to be with family, we sill celebrate us quietly, wholeheartedly, but in context. Grief and gratitude is an interesting combination. All at the same time, I’m completely confused and still in shock about my sister’s passing. I’m grateful for Mars’ recovery. And I’m thankful to reach this milestone with breath in my lungs. Honestly, at this point I’m more uncertain than ever about what tomorrow holds… but I know who holds tomorrow and I’ve learned that it is ultimately none of my business. So no matter what, thank you Father, thank you Lord, because I’m content to be thankful for today; grief, confusion, gratitude, grace and all. And thank you all for the calls, texts, and well wishes online. Many of you I didn’t even lnow you still rememered me. Please dont take it personally, but Im not reaponding in the moment… at some point I will. In the meantime, we appreciate your continued prayers for our entire family.

[[ UPDATE - 02/22/2026 ]] Mars continues to slowly improve. Likely to be raised out of the medically controlled paralysis as soon as this week. His wounds are healing nicely and in this all we see the hand of God at work. The orchestration of it all, the drs and nurses assigned, the level of care and unique protocols afforded, and the space for his Mom and Dad to breathe and get their second wind… but God. We are indeed grateful. Thank you all for your continued prayers and faith added to our own. We believe! #MiracleMars

[[Update/PRAISE REPORT!!!]] Mars is out of surgery. All is well, no issues. Didn't have to remove his Adrenal gland AND 'somehow' the Dr. reported finding his intestinal capacity has doubled!!! Thank you Jesus and praise the Lord God Almighty (or whatever you might call the creator) We love you and thank you for adding your prayers and positive energy to our unreasonable faith! We believe Miracle Mars is here to accomplish a mighty work. But for now, he is recovering and we are grateful! ===================== ====================== Hey good people, we would appreciate your prayers again this AM. Mars (my 7 m/o grandson) is in surgery for the next 5-6 hrs to remove two neuroblastoma tumors on his spine, one on an adrenal gland (entire gland to be removed) , and the rest of his colon is also being removed... We serve a God who can heal, but we are called to humble ourselves and pray. Please join us in praying (actually pray please, not just the lip service we all offer most days) pray for him, his Drs, Elijah (Dad), Miikarra (Mom) and Evan (brother). God can heal. We believe Mars will come out stronger, safer, and better equipped to perform the incredible work the Lord has for him in this life!
