BII’s 2025 Impact Report is here: Powered by Community Breakthroughs
We’re proud to share the Boston Impact Initiative 2025 Annual Impact Report.
In 2025, our work was shaped by a simple but powerful truth: communities deserve the resources and power to build shared prosperity. Entrepreneurs, organizers, and community leaders across our ecosystem continued to show what’s possible when capital is aligned with community needs: resilience, creativity, and collective action that strengthens local economies and ownership.
We are grateful to everyone who continues to build this work with us.

“In times of scarcity, connection and reciprocity become essential to survival.” — Greg Bossie of Rare Forms, reflecting on the power of community through the GreenEdge Accelerator.
Last night, we celebrated the 2026 Spring GreenEdge Accelerator cohort — a dynamic group of MWBE business owners strengthening their operations, expanding their networks, and positioning themselves to lead in Massachusetts’ growing clean energy economy. 🌱⚡
The evening was filled with meaningful reflections, new connections, and a shared commitment to collaboration, growth, and opportunity. Thank you to AIM HR Solutions, Green Pro Bono, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, and all of the business owners, coaches, facilitators, and clean energy partners who made this cohort such a success.

We were grateful to have been part of this year’s LABO Expo once again!
BII is proud to work closely with LABO and stay engaged with their incredible network—so it’s always a highlight to show up, connect, and celebrate the work being done to uplift Latin
American businesses and communities.
A big thank you to LABO and Elizabeth Cruz for hosting such an energizing event, and to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more, share ideas, and build new connections. Your support and enthusiasm make all the difference.

Most capital strategies optimize for scale.
What if we optimized for shared ownership instead?
For SOCAP26, BII has teamed up with Cross Impact Capital and PNLL to propose a session exploring how different capital approaches can build the solidarity economy—centering power, participation, and long-term wealth building.
It’s designed as a World Café because the answers aren’t fixed—they emerge through dialogue.
If you want to see more spaces like this at SOCAP, this is your last chance to vote for our session! Vote here:

What does it actually look like to fund systemic change, not just expand access?
That’s the question behind the session we have proposed for SOCAP26, along with our partners at Cross Impact Capital and PNLL. We’re bringing together three different approaches to deploying capital in ways that build ownership, shift power, and grow the solidarity economy.
It’s designed as a World Café, so people won’t just listen, they’ll engage, question, and co-create ideas.
If this feels important to you, cast your vote by April 26.
