At Bosforo, our experience is shaped by the hands behind it. From the kitchen to the table itself. Working with local ceramicist Janna, from @shop.isiko , allowed us to create pieces that feel beautiful, imperfect, and made with our culture in mind. Supporting artists within our own community keeps our space human. It gives objects a story, and the proper frame for our food. We showed up. Ya'll showed out. Then we sold out. The Bosforo pop up at Bica was everything we hoped it would be. We study technique, we honor the hierarchy, and we believe that growth is the point. The line cook learns from the sous chef. The sous chef learns from the craft. The craft asks more of everyone. What many don’t see is that much of this restaurant was shaped by the same hands that welcome and serve you each time you join us. As our designer and floor manager, Ilkem Nazz, says so thoughtfully: “Each piece is a reminder for us that we can do anything, because we hand built everything from scratch, just like our food.
