early-20th-century Russian/German queer icon Marianne Werefkin, through the eyes of (1) Erma Bossi, (2) Gabriele Münter, and (3) herself. Marianne was a friend and supporter of the dancer Alexander Sacharoff, who appeared frequently in her sketchbooks (4) and (5), and on her canvas in the role of Salomé (6).
