Small gestures, like steadying the table or pulling up another chair, suggest that solidarity isn’t automatic, it takes care and intention. For me, it’s a reminder that Europe is something we shape together by welcoming one another in.

Barbora Keherová is a Slovak illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles. Originally trained in architecture at the Technical University of Vienna, she traded blueprints for sketchbooks and never looked back. Her work blends structure with spontaneity—colorful, playful worlds built from emotion, humor, and everyday life. She loves turning simple ideas into vibrant stories that make people smile and think.
