BORGBORG - Loveletter [AR002] on About Repetition // Out now
Loveletter dwells at the confluence of ambient, electronica, leftfield techno and neo-industrial textures, using repetition not as a functional loop, but as a precise compositional tool — for condensation, displacement and subtle irritation. The album navigates the space between avant-garde experimentation and physical immediacy, progressing through continuous shifts rather than traditional tension arcs.

ANNOUNCEMENT: LABEL LAUNCH
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our own music label. Fully packed with seven releases in 2026, the first full-lenth album will be issued in a few days.
With a focus on ambient, electronica, leftfield techno, and neo-industrial sound aesthetics, the label brings together artists who understand repetition not as a function, but as a precise tool: for compression, displacement, and deliberate irritation.
Releases on About Repetition emerge precisely where avant-garde practice and post-club culture collide—within the space between radical formal exploration and physical immediacy. Here, the unpredictable meets the corporeal, the conceptual encounters the impulse—an ambivalence expressed less through classical arcs of tension than through continuous shifts. The result is works that simultaneously challenge and seduce, redefine kinetic energy, and treat electronic music as an open territory.
Anchored in the tradition of Düsseldorf sound research, About Repetition builds a bridge between historical pioneering work and the contemporaneity of new electronic forms of expression. Alongside digital and physical releases, the label realizes interdisciplinary projects, audiovisual works, and collaborative settings that activate space, rhythm, and repetition in concert.
About Repetition stands for a sound that seeks depth on the surface, time within tempo, and is capable of activating contradictions.
For the 9th podcast, we invited Düsseldorf based DJ and producer BORGBORG.
The About Repetition co-founder shapes a sound both relentless and introspective — stripped to the bone yet resonant with emotional gravity. Her sets traverse the full spectrum of techno, from arpeggiated ambient passages to rugged, high-impact rhythms made for concrete floors and dim lights.
BORGBORG’s performances include venues such as Open Ground, Ursprung Fi, Tresor, Radion, Khidi, TES, and STAUB series, alongside regular appearances at Tresor.West.
Her debut solo album Loveletter was released on March 20th, 2026 via About Repetition and features remixes by Irakli, LADA (Dasha Rush & Lars Hemmerling) and Fractal Void.

Some days ago @monodortmund for @tresor.west stream with @felixbernhard.de . The direction of a refined minimal — gritty and tense, yet stripped and atonal — shaped the flow of my set.
Huge thanks for the invite and xoxo to everybody for joining. mono is a beautiful, focused space for deep listening, and I can only recommend spending time there.
Flip to the last slide to see Borg way too excited about seeing @felixbernhard.de 👽👽👽

„Photinia“ (Fractal Void Remix)
Fractal Void’s remix of „Photinia“ iterates tonal micro-variations through textural modulation, expanding the album’s parameter by permuted time signatures — each cycle a quiet unraveling, melody folding back into itself.
