This Sunday we gather for a special fundraising performance in solidarity with the artists of this program in Iran who were cut off by the digital blackout.
“Flaked Signal” by Roham Amirifar in collaboration with Khorshid Sheikh Ansari, Rana Shahbazi and Niki Yaghmaee was originally planned as a live-stream performance connecting a rural area in northern Iran with Berlin. Due to the digital blackout, Borderless Creatures present “100 Sounds of Belonging: Berlin” by Golsana Shenasaei instead. A work built on 100 interviews with migrants in Berlin. The evening will also include rehearsal footage from Flaked Signal and a text from the director in Iran.
Featuring:
Golsana Shenasaei — cello / electronics / visuals
Niki Yaghmaee — violin
Roshanak Rafani — percussion
Mayila Khodadin — dance / choreography
Munir Arreola — dance / choreography

This evening exists because our performers in Iran were suddenly disconnected.
What was planned as a cross-border performance had to change due to the ongoing digital blackout in Iran. Instead, we open the space for a special fundraising evening, sharing material created before the blackout and standing in solidarity with the performers who couldn’t join us.
Borderless Creatures presents:
“100 Sounds of Belonging: Berlin” by Golsana Shenasaei.
Come this Sunday and support the artists who were cut off.
