MAKiNG iT an intimate documentary of the Seattle scene 1992-2008 Based on the book. This was so fun to hang at this cool rock ‘n’ roll salon down on Sunset right in the heart of L.A. The Cut By is the place to go to get cool haircuts or colors. We had such a great party here the other night and I’m at amazing new people. Thank you to all my friends that stopped by and everyone who bought a book.

Check out one of my favorite images from the band Gossip. Shot at the EMP space in Seattle in 2004. This is a beautifully printed image on Canson Platine rag paper, from the MAKiNG iT book. Here are two ways I frame the music prints: minimalist, modern, and classic— each tailored to highlight the art. The material choice is a simple wood-grain black frame with a square profile. The larger scale shows off the impact and rhythm on a wall, bleeding to the edge, and the smaller sizes pop with a simple mat. Which style fits your space? Tell me which frame style you like, 1 or 2? Do you have a favorite Gossip song? . #FrameItRight #ArtStyling #CustomFraming #InteriorInspo #PhotoArt #GalleryWall #HomeDecor #Gossipband #Bethditto #musicphotography #makingitbook #seattlemusic

Book & Print deal MAKiNG iT: an intimate documentary of the Seattle indie, rock and punk scene 1992 to 2008. Link in profile to buy MAKiNG iT is a photographic time capsule and an emotional romp through the Seattle soundscape from 1992 to 2008. An avid fan of Seattle’s music scene during the late 1990s and early 2000s, photographer Bootsy Holler created a remarkable portfolio documenting the little-known bands who later defined a decade in music history as the world transitioned from celluloid to digital, grunge to indie. As a young artist, Holler captured live gigs, band portraits, backstage moments, rapt audiences and more, chronicling the formative years of artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Fleet Foxes, Interpol, Macklemore, Modest Mouse, Gossip, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, along with Beck, Foo Fighters-Dave Grohl, Moby, Pearl Jam, The Posies, and R.E.M.

Two images from the book MAKiNG iT an intimate documentary of the Seattle indie, rock & punk scene 1992 to 2008. I closed my show lastnight at Materias Primas at the Perez arts District in Cathedral City, that’s Palm Springs area and the Coachella Valley in CA. I was excited to hang some of the images in the book on the walls at this very cool space. They still have a few books if you’re interested or you need, contact me if you’re interested in something more. #Thank You Annie
