Nike Mercurial. Those two words alone are enough to trigger something in almost all of us, regardless of age, level, or position. Simply an icon that has changed and reshaped the perception of the football boot. We retraced its entire history in chronological order, from the very beginning up to today, knowing that in a World Cup year something special almost always happens. And when it comes to Mercurial, that feeling becomes even stronger. The real question, though: is there a specific moment, a boot, or even a colorway that left a mark on you? We can’t wait to hear from you. #bootsculture #NikeMercurial #Mercurial #footballboots

For Leo Messi’s last World Cup, we wanted to create a unique “What’s In The Bag” episode, one that brought together products with a story to tell 🇦🇷 From the Trionda Official Match Ball for this year’s World Cup, through his current “10”, to the remake of the green Tunit and his “19” shirt, his first number with the Argentina team. And of course, who wouldn’t want a little Leo action figure to play with at home? Enjoy every product in the carousel dedicated to “La Pulga” in this special episode. #bootsculture #offthepitcharchive #whatsinthebag #leomessi Provided by @futbolemotion @futbolemotionit

We’re getting closer and closer to the next Mercurial, and it’s finally starting to take shape. Cristiano Ronaldo has now revealed a brand new prototype, giving us the very first real hint of what could be the final design of the boot, featuring pink Swooshes over a white base alongside the “SAMPLE” label that leaves no room for interpretation. @nikefootball , we are ready! 🔥 #bootsculture #Ronaldo #CristianoRonaldo #NikeMercurial #Mercurial Photos. There was a time when chasing lightweight went too far. Now, in 2026, everything is already light, and that obsession has faded. But @adidasfootball with the new F50 Hyperfast EVO, at 130g, brought us back to a different era 🪶 One that made models like Adipower SL, 11Pro SL and F50 CrazyLight unforgettable. If you could bring back one, just one. Which one would you choose? 💬 #bootsculture #superlight #adidasfootball #footballboots

👀 @kenanyildiz was recently spotted wearing an exclusive custom version of the new Adidas F50 Hyperfast and, looking closely, there’s an interesting detail that immediately stands out. The boot is essentially built on the structure of the laceless model, but with the addition of laces. Which translates into a boot that naturally wraps perfectly around the instep, while still giving the possibility to tighten it even further when needed. Kenan has also worn the mid cut version of the F50 in the past, which suggests he either has a narrow foot shape or simply prefers that kind of close fitting sensation. A solution that has quietly become more and more common over the last few months among pro players. We first noticed it with Rodrygo Goes on the previous generation of the F50, then again with Martin Ødegaard and the Predator line, and now naturally evolving once more with this new F50 Hyperfast. Kenan however is not the only player receiving this kind of customization on the new F50 Hyperfast, as we have also spotted a very similar setup on Lee Kang-in from Paris Saint-Germain. #bootsculture #kenanyildiz #F50 #adidasF50 #F50Hyperfast Photos: Juventus FC

Is the Return to “Classic” Boots a new Trend? Obviously, saying that classic football boots are making a comeback is a provocation. First of all because many of these boots today are not truly classic, but rather evoke that kind of feeling. And secondly because real classic boots are still on the market, they never really left, we simply (almost all of us) stopped choosing them. Even if we stayed loyal to a silo or a specific model, we were inevitably drawn in by new colorways and innovation. That is normal. In recent seasons we have highlighted how the number of releases has been extremely high, probably too high, and the pace at which football boots are launched has remained constant. However, we might now be reaching a point where the traditional boot is once again becoming a reliable choice. Even in the world of professional athletes, we are noticing more and more how, despite contractual obligations and sponsorship agreements, there is a growing search for boots with a more classic look or a more traditional structure, especially in training during certain moments of the season. Recently we have seen Désiré Doué wearing the Tiempo Ligera, a boot also appreciated by many others such as Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and even Bruno Fernandes a few months ago. We have also seen Bradley Barcola completing some training sessions before the Champions League wearing a fully blackout COPA Pure, while Mateo Kovačić, during his return from injury, opted for the most classic version of the Puma King. Would you like to see even more classic boots on the feet of pro players? #bootsculture #footballboots #classicboots Photos: PSG, Manchester United, Manchester City

Spotted. 👀 Just a few hours after unveiling them, Matheus Cunha debuted the new unreleased Nike Tiempo Maestro Jordan on pitch in today’s away game. The Brazilian forward stepped onto the field wearing the clean white based colourway combined with the iconic cement print detailing and Infrared Jumpman branding, giving us the first real on pitch look at what could easily become one of the standout Tiempo releases around. #bootsculture #nikefootball #jordan #tiempo #cunha Photos: Matheus Cunha Instagram, Manchester United FC

Comfort mode activated ☁️ After reaching the Champions League final, Désiré Doué trained in recovery sessions wearing the Nike Tiempo Ligera. There are moments when comfort comes before everything else, and right now there’s probably no better boot in Nike’s lineup than the Tiempo Ligera to experience that kind of feeling. We totally get you, Désiré. #bootsculture #desiredoue #doue #niketiempo #tiempo Photos: PSG
