Shaped like a globe and containing astonishingly few galaxies, the Bootes Void resides near the Bootes constellation. Its center lies a staggering 700 million light-years from Earth. The vast emptiness of the void, some might say, reflects the "Great Nothing" – the emotional gaps within the human soul. The collection challenges the idea of human-centeredness, suggesting that connections beyond individual humans or communities might be hidden or forbidden. "Paris Polyphia flower" and the Great Nothing. At its heart lies the "Paris Polyphia flower," a mythical bloom associated with the tale of a crow and a shaman, the story tells of a shaman who befriended a crow with the power of foresight. But the crow was forbidden from contact with humans. After the death of its owner, the crow's grief manifested and tear as the "Paris Polyphia flower” - with seven leaves and a single blossom.
The first collection, "Backwards into the Wind," explores this very concept, using time travel with the crow as a metaphor to portray time as akin to emotions. The collection will expose the beauty found within these emotional voids, the "Great Nothing," that exist within us all.
