It’s so lovely to be creating again! Made this piece specially for Frankie who commissioned it from me. The trust and love between us really humbled me a lot. The thing about my body prints is they require bodies to be printed- normally my own, sometimes a friend who feels safe enough to volunteer- creating this piece really meant so much trust between us as we pressed her torso (painted in various colours) to paper. The paint that you see is actually the mark of her body pressed to the paper, her chest and stomach. To me, this art (when I capture myself at least) has always allowed me to look at my body as something more than it is. I look at myself as art, as fauna and flora, as the magic of little birds or hidden bees, a mix of paint blending and bleeding into itself and it always made me feel beautiful. That’s something I always wished to share and to be able to print someone else body to paper and capture the essence of nature and magic within them- it’s so humbling and I just feel so lucky and grateful to always be so supported and held. And to hold in return. I’ve been doing these since I was 17. That’s crazy- also, almost 14 years ago I was 17- that’s disgusting 🤣🤣🤣 hahaha
So I’m posting this here and to my art page cause maybe eventually I’ll just merge the two 🤣 I have too many insta profiles apparently!
