Five Years Ago, On February 14, 2020 right before the world stood still, A Romance/Drama by the name of The Photograph; staring Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfeild premiered in theaters, This movie was so captivating for me, From the story telling to the music composed by Robert Glasper. This movie holds a special place in my heart because, it was the last couple of years in my twenties. I had just landed a decent job with good benefits, and I thought it was up from there, but has I write this at the seasoned age of 32, I realize that life isn’t always about the destination, but being able to enjoy the journey. We all have different experiences and perspectives of success. I haven’t reached the level of success I thought I’d be at during that time period, but I’m working on it everyday one step at a time. I could keep going but I’m just here to vent a little.
