Banff 2018. Horses pull the carriages across the frozen lakes in the mountains of Calgary. The ground was frozen solid ice, and the air was burning my lungs. These horses pulled 30 ppl every 20 min through the snow storm. Their power and strength could be seen in their frozen breath, and their legs were covered in frozen hair. Majestic doesn’t even begin to describe these animals.

Slip into the matrix. VHS style. Some fun for a client video who wanted a retro feel. We shot the interviews on 4 cameras, one of them an old vhs camera. Ukiah sunrise, 2018 - the day before this the mountains of Ukiah were burning. Mendocino county was surrounded by flames. The hotel smelled of smoke and the roads were closed everywhere we went. Sunrise proved to be the only time this day that you could see the sky. We took it in and moved on. #booklightco #travelfilm #docu #archives
