Y2 Portfolio pages focussing on the cost of living crisis, for my Epson T-shirt and Knitwear project…
“Mum had to sell milk bottles to get money for milk for me.
Dad use to cut cardboard to line my shoes as when I wet through my nappy it use to wet the shoes.
Once I stopped the ice cream man for an ice cream but Mum didn’t have enough money to buy one.
We slept in a one bed flat on a mattress until my Dad got money for anywhere better.
I was split from my sister, Audrey for a year as Mum and Dad couldn’t care for both of us so the eldest grandchild stayed with the grandparents” -Mum
A few months ago I won an award for the Epson UK Ltd Surecolor printer t-shirt competition with De Montfort University!!
It was an amazing experience learning how to use the Epson SC-F200 direct to garment printer, which Epson donated to DMU. I had a lot of fun playing around with the software, designing prints and printing my final t-shirt designs. My final t-shirt was inspired by university students in the living crisis.
Thank you Clare Dwyer Debbie McKeegan Polly Chapman and the rest of the Epson team!
