At Bon Echo Provincial Park, you don’t need to go into the gatehouse for day use, car camping, backcountry camping, and roofed accommodations. You can head right into the park to start enjoying your visit! Here's what you need to know: 🌲 Check in online. You will receive an email on the day of your trip to check in online. This allows you to confirm or update your licence plate and the names of all campsite occupants. 🌲Purchase your additional vehicle permits in advance of your arrival. 🌲 Carry a digital (saved to your device) or printed copy of your confirmation letter on you while in the park. This will be your permit. 🌲 There’s no need to display a permit on your vehicle dashboard or campsite post. Your licence plate will be used to verify your permit. 🌲 Have questions or need directions? Need to purchase firewood, ice, or an additional vehicle permit? Have last-minute changes to your vehicle licence plate or campsite occupant information? Stop in at the Park Gatehouses and our friendly park staff will be able to assist you. 🌲 If your day use permit was obtained using your seasonal vehicle permit, remember to display your seasonal vehicle permit in clear view on your mirror/dashboard.

🌟Staff Spotlights 🌟 For this week’s #StaffSunday, we’re featuring one of our dynamic duos from the gates, Constance and Carlie! 💚💙 Constance and Carlie first met here at Bon Echo last season and have been close friends ever since. Both grew up in the area and appreciate the opportunity to work at a park so close to home. 🌲 Constance has been part of the Bon Echo team for five seasons and enjoys welcoming visitors and introducing them to everything the park has to offer. Carlie has a strong passion for the outdoors and loves spending her time camping and hunting in the surrounding area. 🏕️ Together, their hard work keeps our main gatehouse running smoothly. The next time you arrive at Bon Echo, be sure to wave hello to Constance and Carlie! 👋

This Thanksgiving, gather your loved ones and celebrate the season of gratitude surrounded by the beauty of Bon Echo Provincial Park. As you sit around the campfire or hike beneath red and yellow leaves, take a moment to reflect on the history of this area as a place of gathering and deep cultural significance. Mazinaw Rock is home to over 260 Indigenous pictographs, a sacred reminder that these lands have long been a place of story, spirit, and connection. This Thanksgiving we are thankful for the land we share and the important stories it carries. Here are just a few of the ways that you can experience the beauty of Bon Echo this Thanksgiving weekend: 🌲 Enjoy a hike with friends or family on one of our trails. 🛶 Rent a canoe or kayak and explore the shores of Mazinaw Lake. 🍂 Host an outdoor picnic surrounded by fall colours. 🔥 Roast marshmallows and share stories around the fire. Whether you're staying for the weekend or just visiting for the day, Bon Echo is the perfect backdrop for a meaningful Thanksgiving celebration, one rooted in appreciation, connection, and nature. From all of us at Bon Echo: Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #BonEcho #FallColours

🌟 Staff Sunday Spotlight 🌟 This week’s #StaffSunday features Zoe from our Discovery team! Zoe has been busy at the Visitor Centre this fall, chatting with visitors and even creating her very own program all about beavers. 🦫 She loves being part of the Bon Echo team because it gives her the chance to share fun facts about nature and hear all about the exciting animal sightings visitors experience in the park. If you see Zoe around, be sure to say hi and ask her about her favourite beaver fact!
