Blue Ivy at the Met Gala, wearing the Maggio by Clarissa Oliverio 💕
Selected by June Ambrose from our curated eyewear collection at Bond 07, the Maggio is a bulky, asymmetrical silhouette with Florentine velvet detailing (handmade on 19th-century looms). Fashion is art and eyewear is art, too ;)
Congratulations Blue, June (@juneambrose ), Clarissa (@clarissaoliverioart ), and—of course—Selima (@selimasalsa ) for being the first to carry Clarissa Oliverio’s sunglasses in the U.S.
You can find the Maggio at both of our locations downtown: Bond 07 at 7 Bond St. NYC 10012 and Selima Optique SoHo at 59 Wooster St. NYC 10012.
Happy Valentine’s Day 💕
Enjoy some of our favorite couples from some of our favorite Nat Geos in the office, because every moodboard deserves a little romance.

Casanova C. 04 NM 3 (c. 1980).
24k gold-plated metal with red & pink hand-painted enamel.
Made in Italy.
From one of Casanova’s earlier collections, the NM 3 was very limited, but—sleek and rectangular—remains one of the Venetian brand’s most timeless and wearable styles. Unfortunately, we’ve tried researching and reaching out, but have still been unable to figure out exactly what “NM” stands for.
While these frames currently feature the original, plastic demo lenses, let us know if you’d like to swap them out for prescription or UV400 sunglass lenses.
~ DM to purchase or visit 7 Bond St. New York, New York to come try them on ~
Casanova C. 01 MTC-3 (c. 1990).
24k gold plated metal, stainless steel, and brushed chrome.
Made in Italy.
From Casanova’s MTC (metalmeccanici) collection, these metal frames are an ode to the artisanship of Venetian metalworkers, featuring gold plating throughout, as well as a functional, adjustable stainless steel screw at the bridge and a brushed chrome finish on the face.
These glasses come with the original demo lenses, but can be swapped out for prescription or sunglass lenses by request.

Casanova C. 01 RVC-1 (c. 1985).
24k gold plated metal with red, navy, and yellow hand-painted enamel.
Made in Italy.
From Casanova’s Rietveld Collection, dedicated to Dutch architect and furniture designer Gerrit Rietveld (best known for his contributions to the Neoplastic / De Stijl movement). The RVC-1 glasses are the first of the collection and are fittingly inspired by Rietveld’s most famous piece: the Red & Blue Chair (c. 1918).
These glasses come with the original demo lenses, but can be swapped out for prescription or sunglass lenses by request.

Saint Laurent Velvet Mini Dress, with Embellished Bow (c. FW 2015).
Black velvet and 100% silk black lining, with glass crystals and metal zippers forming the bow.
Made in France.
Size 36.
From Saint Laurent’s Fall-Winter 2015 RTW collection, Hedi Slimane took a ‘little black dress’ with a chic, structured silhouette and, quite literally…put a bow on it. Lined with silk and wrapped in velvet, it’s essentially a luxury ‘babydoll’ dress with a statement bow on top. But, in a subtle nod to Slimane’s rock & roll influence during mid-2010s YSL, the bow is made out of metal zippers and crystals.
Excellent vintage condition.

Chrome Hearts “Chinnutz” R.L. sunglasses, ‘Purple’ (c. 2009).
Bordeaux Semi-Transparent cellulose acetate, sterling silver (.925) hardware, UV400 wine gradient-tinted lenses.
Made in Japan.
A perfect example of Chrome’s earliest eyewear, (in style and, as seen in the last slides, name as well), the Chinnutz silhouette reflects the bold, oversized aesthetic of the brand’s ‘rockstar’ influences with the wraparound manufacturing of its Y2K ‘athletic’ inspirations—paired with signature, metal-bordered sterling silver crosses on each side. As the brand explored woodgrain finishes around that time period, this pair’s acetate looks like a semi-transparent, wine-stained cherry wood (appearing burgundy in the dark and like a bordeaux or syrah in the light), paired with matching, gradient lenses.
58mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, 136mm temple length.
Excellent condition.
