Does this have to become a reel? -cringe-
The word "reel" makes me cringe inside personally, maybe it's a sign I'm on my way to dinosaur-dom. Reels are something other people create, not me. Other people who seek to make themselves known, who want engagement.

Sunsets are beautiful, but don't forget to turn around!
I love that warm rosy glow it casts on everything.

Late Feb 2026, near sunset.
On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji. But it was not a clear day.
Perfect for clouds.
It was also very very windy.

Stopping by the seaside at Shichirigahama near Enoshima, I couldn't help but observe the pigeons that sauntered around near me, undaunted by my presence. After all, it was their territory. Pigeons aint quite seabirds, but of course, they'd admire the sea too.

EOS R6 Mark II + RF45mm f/1.2 STM
(Reposted to change the order of the images)
Some moments caught on a short walk by the bayfront with the RF85mm f/1.4L VCM on the EOS R6 Mark II.
85mm is a surprisingly comfortable focal length to use for street photography, especially if you have the space. You don't have to get too close to people (=good for shy beginners people watching), and it has nice compression. The 85mm VCM is exceptionally light for its specs, too, because can you imagine taking long walks with that monster of an f/1.2๐ ?
VCM lenses may have video-centric controls, but they are wonderful for stills too.
Focus was lightning fast compared to the non-L 85mm and sticky. And as I was telling someone from work, images from the L lens just feel different. The fineness, the quality. Not to mention the bokeh. See already very happy. And I wasn't even pixel peeping.
Have you ever tried an 85mm lens? What do you use it for?
The OG sprinkler, perfect for hot days.
I'd tried removing the 2 women in front but it makes the scene look weirdly empty. One fun challenge of street photography is finding different ways to make things work despite clutter.
I was digging out images shot on the EOS R50. Here's an image dump of some of my favourite shots taken on my trip to Tainan/Taipei all the way back in March 2024.
I culled many, many more photos ^^;
I'm still holding on to the EOS R50 though I have the R50 V, for two reasons: EVF and Creative Filters.
I've been using the R50 V more lately because it makes a cool looking "model" , and because colour filters and LUTs are fun. Can't deny that both are very handy cameras and I think I always do more unplanned shooting with them, since they fit so easily into my bag.

Maybe I've been thinking too much about whether I can use my own images for SNAPSHOT. Maybe I've been trying to do way too much alone. I shouldn't be paiseh to ask for help, BUT (you also know how oddly specific I need some samples to be :X I don't know how fun or aligned it will be with most photographers' styles or motivations!) >.<
Hope to showcase more of other people's work on SS next year.
