Bonnie Rodriguez, aka Bgirl Bongo Roc, is the co-founder of Supreme Beingz Crew and a key figure in the NYC breaking scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Bongo has not only trained and competed in a male dominated dance but has also dedicated herself to fostering community by creating free and safe practice spaces since 1999.
Recently, she can be caught breaking in the documentary Breakin’ on the One, invited to judge the Red Bull East Coast Finals, and selected to judge Battle Pro in Paris. Bongo’s influence extends beyond the dance floor; she has been featured in Vogue and People magazines, sat on the Breaking for Gold Olympic Committee, and continues to mentor aspiring bboys and bgirls today.
