Always love watching @baguiomountainman doing @baguiomountainman things. Regardless if it’s in his kitchen or behind the drums, this guy has no middle ground. Everything is done full send, full passion, and with the kind of energy you can’t really fake.
Some people just naturally turn whatever they touch into an experience. Good food, loud music, random conversations, and moments that somehow end up becoming the stories everyone talks about after.
Somewhere along the way, things just started falling into place. Not planned, not forced. Just happening. And I’m grateful for that.
We keep doing things our way and the rest follows. New perspectives, new ideas, pages filling up faster than I can keep up. Not everything fully formed yet, but you can feel it getting there.
Been pushing myself into more unfamiliar spaces too. Not always comfortable, but I’m learning to just roll with it and adapt as it comes. It is what it is.
No idea if the next one tops this.
But it’ll be just as wild.
Not always i write something like this but this one feels worth sharing.
The Beijing trip with GWM Philippines was a lot. From the scale of the Beijing Motor Show to actually getting hands on with different platforms, it really opened things up.
At first it was overwhelming, but the more we drove and tested, the clearer it got. There’s a real shift happening. A merge between traditional ICE and electrified platforms like hybrids and EVs. And honestly, it doesn’t feel like it’s taking anything away, it just feels like things are evolving.
Coming from someone who loves old engines, the sound and feel of it all, I didn’t expect to appreciate it this much. But this trip made it easier to understand where things are going. Not replacing, but refining.
@joelconradpedro and I captured everything we could and we’re excited to share that story soon on the @overlandkings YouTube channel.
Also pretty surreal representing the Philippines and connecting with the global GWM network. A lot of good conversations and perspectives.
Still taking it all in. Big thanks to @gwmphilippines for having us again
Seeing the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Statue in person hits different. You think you’re ready for it, but nothing really prepares you for the scale. It’s massive. Like stop you in your tracks massive.
You just end up standing there for a bit, looking up, taking it in, feeling like a kid again. All those years of seeing it on screens, then suddenly it’s right there in front of you, towering, detailed, unreal.
Giddy doesn’t even cover it. It’s one of those moments you don’t rush. Just stand there, look up, and let it sink in.
I want to drive it
I didn’t expect much from this shot, but something about how it came out just clicked. That’s probably what I enjoy most about shooting with unpredictable gear. You stop relying on the camera to do the work and start trusting the process more.
Working within fixed limits creates this kind of sweet spot where things either fall apart or come together in a way you wouldn’t normally plan. And when it works, it really works.
Of course, shooting with something like a Leica would give you that consistency and near perfect output every time. But sometimes that’s exactly why I lean toward gear that feels a bit less controlled.
The kind that makes you want to shoot more, try more, and just see what comes out.

First rolls with the new Kodak Snapic A1.
What I love about this camera is how it forces me to shoot differently. Fixed focal length, fixed aperture, fixed shutter speed. No overthinking. Just move your feet and find the frame. I had to be more intentional, more dynamic, and trust that if I positioned myself right, it would work.
The ratio of good to bad shots honestly surprised me. It added drama in ways I did not expect. It framed just enough, even in awkward angles and tight spaces. It almost feels like the limitations are doing me a favor.
Now that I’ve seen how these turned out, I feel like I can push it even more. Me being me, I’m already thinking of crazier ideas that might actually work within its limits.
What I love most is that it takes my attention away from the gear and brings it back to just shooting. Just moments. Just instinct.
Let’s burn through more rolls this year. I thought I was shooting myself in the foot thinking about how expensive this would be.
But I love it.
Much love for the folks over at @filmfolk_ for the budol and the great team over at @sunny16lab for these immaculate scans.
