Sfera is a music series dedicated to exploring the edges of sound and space, spolighting the local experimental music scene in an immersive setting. Emerging as the next chapter after Chillsphere — a long-running event series in multiple venues around Reykjavík — Sfera strips away „chill” and steps into deeper, more expansive sonic territory. The third edition of Sfera presents a diverse program and as usual takes place in Tjarnarbíó’s theatre hall.

Unfiled og MOTET eru sjónsveitir/hljómsveitir sem leggja jafn mikið upp sjónrænni upplifun eins og hljómrænni og starfa á mörkum tónlistar og myndlistar.
Unfiled er tvíhöfða skepna þeirra Atla Bollasonar og Guðmundar Úlfarssonar. Þeir hófu sitt samstarf í Mengi árið 2019 með röð tilraunakenndra sjónleika. Listsköpun þeirra hverfist enn um lykilhugmyndir sem komu fram á þessum fyrstu mánuðum: endurómun (bókstaflega og sem myndhverfingu), ferlana að baki merkingarsköpun, sjónrænan spuna, minningar, drauga, suð. Fyrsta plata þeirra kom út síðasta vor og var líkt við Emptyset og Ben Frost meðal annarra. Reykjavík Grapevine tilnefndi Unfiled nýverið bestu tónleikasveit ársins 2025.
MOTET er dúó þeirra Owens Hindley og Þorsteins Eyfjörð. Þeir bræða hið vélræna saman við hið lífræna, finna fegurð í hnignun og glæða dystópíur vonarglætu. Fyrsta plata þeirra, skífan 0.5, kom út í árslok 2024.
Vínyllinn er mættur! Sjáumst í útgáfu-/hlustunarpartíi í Smekkleysu á föstudaginn milli kl. 17-19.

When we were invited to work in Łódź back in 2022 we didn’t know that would spawn what has essentially become a completely new project.
The record is eerie and (post) industrial and noisy but also oddly groovy and spacious at times. We’re really happy with it and we hope you’ll like it!

This was fun and sort of crazy: VJing with @officialgusgus when they performed all of 'Arabian Horse' in Reykjavík ten days ago. Late post! This beauty of a catalogue came out in the summer when the artists I exhibited with in Limassol last year reconvened in Leipzig for a new show in July.
