Receiving Tomiyin’s aso-oke was truly a moment of what I ordered vs. what I got. She had a clear vision of what she wanted, but what arrived was far from it. It was disheartening, but we had to work with what we had. After adjusting the style to suit the aso-oke received, the outcome wasn’t bad, but because Tomiyin is particular about her look, we had to get another aso-oke just a few weeks before the wedding. 😳
At Bojamiley, your joy and satisfaction come first. We reached out to another vendor, and with only five weeks left and production for asooke alone needing three to four weeks, time wasn’t on our side. But I assured Tomiyin that no matter what, her outfit would be ready, and it would be exactly how she dreamed.
From sewing, to beading, to fittings every step was done with her happiness in mind. Because it wasn’t just about making a dress; it was about making her feel like the most beautiful bride on her big day.

Two weeks, one dress, and a journey filled with wahala😂 but we pulled through!
Right from the start, we knew this project wouldn’t be easy. Finding the perfect beads was a struggle. We searched from Balogun to Idumota, compared countless options, and finally settled on an alternative that matched our vision. The dress was coming together beautifully, and at the first fitting, we knew we had created something special.
Then, just when we thought we were in the clear, the unexpected happened. Two days to the traditional wedding, we entrusted the dress to the beader, only to realize at the last minute that the work had barely even started! There was no time to waste. My team and I took matters into our own hands, working tirelessly to bead the dress ourselves. By the next day, we had done most of the work, and we added the final touches on the morning of the event.
Through it all, our bride remained calm and understanding, trusting us every step of the way. And in the end? The dress turned out breathtaking! Every detail came together perfectly.
I can’t thank my incredible team enough, their dedication turned what could have been a disaster into a perfect delivery.
