The Rose Garden at Julia Davis is continuing to get some serious TLC🌹❤️🩹
The City of Boise, in partnership with the Davis family and the Idaho Rose Society, is updating and improving the beloved Rose Garden in Julia Davis Park. This park feature has served our city for generations, and the goal of this work is to improve the layout and make the popular site more accessible, better support the long-term health of the roses, and modernize the garden for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
Currently, accessible pathways are taking form in this reimagined space as the park’s roses continue to thrive after being carefully transported to the outside of the garden. Click the link in our bio for more information on this ongoing project, and stay tuned for updates in the coming months! 💐

Hawkins Range Reserve is officially open for the season! 🌄🌻Located off of Bogus Basin Road, the reserve features a 5.7 directional trail along with a 0.6 mile nested trail, and offers some of the best views in Boise. Dogs must remain on-leash until June 15 to protect elk calving in the area, as the 393-acre space is home to lots of local wildlife.
The wildflowers are popping this spring! Thank you for practicing Leave No Trace principles when you visit. That means packing out what you pack in, staying on designated trails and leaving the flowers for all visitors to enjoy. Also, if we get any May rain showers please turn around if you are leaving tracks. Use of our trails in muddy conditions is the leading cause of damage to the Ridge to Rivers system.

Help us pick a new, more accessible playground for Liberty Park! 🛝
We’re investing in improvements at this Central Bench neighborhood park including a new permanent restroom and accessible paths. The existing playground on site, which is the oldest in our park system, is also being replaced. The two proposed designs offer a variety of features including inclusive swings, climbing structures, sensory play panels, shade and more. Swipe to take a peek 👀➡️
Click the link in our bio to review both options, along with equipment and accessibility descriptions, and cast your vote via a short survey. It closes on Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m. and the winning design will be announced shortly after! Construction of new Liberty Park amenities is anticipated to start later this year.
