@trailheadboise is harmful to the Boise startup scene. 🚩
A few months ago, our intern was put in a very uncomfortable position by Jacob, now Executive Director at
@trailheadboise Unprompted, he told her not to trust
@pcmxfactor because we “prey on founders” and “steal their money.” See
@enjoelinglife 's post for the receipts 📩
Meanwhile… the actual work? The PCMX team spent 200+ hours coaching two founders and helped them raise $175K. 💰
@enjoelinglife alone put in 40+ hours prepping them for
@boientrepreneurweek … and they WON 1st place 🏆 and a $50K prize.
Here’s the part that should make you pause:
According to reliable sources, that $50K still hasn’t been paid… and it’s been 6 months. ⏳
So let’s recap:
One group (us) helped founders actually raise capital. The other (Trailhead + Boise Entrepreneur Week) made startups jump through hoops for what’s starting to look like a false promise. 🎭
Also… didn’t
@city_of_boise help fund this? 🤔 Where did that money go? And is this really the best use of public dollars?
And it gets better.
The Trailhead Board tried to buy our silence for $647… yes, six hundred forty seven dollars. 💀
Frankly, they should take that $647 and put it toward paying the winners of
@boientrepreneurweek the prize money they actually earned. 💅
We filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. 📄
BBB has already responded… and Trailhead has yet to respond to the complaint.
Silence speaks volumes. 👀

At PCMX, we build. We support. We show up for founders and community. 🌱
We don’t put anything on blast often… but when we do, it’s because staying quiet protects the wrong people.
Trailhead can call us “predatory” all they want…next, we’ll dive into how the partnerships they promote are the ones preying on young founders. 🐍
Boise deserves better. Period. 💥
