How Damilola Olowolafe built Bodylush Luxury Hairs in three years
In an industry where beauty and personal confidence intersect, Damilola Olowolafe Olawumi has carved out a distinctive space for herself through her brand, Bodylush Luxury Hairs.
What began as a personal passion for hairstyling has, within three years, evolved into a growing beauty enterprise serving women across different backgrounds.
Damilolaās journey into the hair and beauty industry was driven by a deep fascination with transformation. Her passion for enhancing womenās appearance and boosting their confidence inspired her to begin creating high-quality wigs and offering professional hairstyling services. Over time, this passion transitioned into a structured brand that priorities quality, customer satisfaction, and innovation.
A native of Ikere-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Damilola pursued her academic training at Obafemi Awolowo University, where she studied Microbiology. Despite her scientific background, she chose to follow her creative instincts, merging artistry with entrepreneurship to build Bodylush Luxury Hairs into a recognized name among her clients.
Today, I celebrate growth, grace, strength, and the woman I am becoming. Every lesson, every win, every setback has shaped me into someone stronger and wiser. Iām grateful for life, for love, and for the journey ahead.
This new year of my life will be filled with peace, abundance, bold moves, and answered prayers. I step into it confidently, beautifully, and unapologetically.
Happy Birthday to me šāØ May this chapter be my best one yet. š«

Sometime last year ā between December and early January ā something was off.
Not enough for people to ask questions.
But enough that if you were paying attention, you could tell.
I was still showing up.
Still doing what needed to be done.
Still smiling when required.
But joy?
It was quietly absent.
Not in a dramatic, everything-fell-apart way.
More like⦠I was surviving my own days.
Some things had happened that shook me to my core.
For a while, I honestly didnāt know how I would come out of it ā
or if I even would.
Disappointments stacked without announcement.
And I didnāt realize how much joy had leaked
until there was almost none left to draw from.
But as you can tell now ā my joy is back.
Looking back, Iām reminded of a teaching on Joy Management that Apostle Emmanuel Adewusi (@e.adewusi )taught @cccghq
God, in His kindness, used my spiritual father to help nurse that joy back to life ā patiently, intentionally, and with wisdom.
One thing stayed with me:
joy isnāt just something you feel ā itās something you manage.
What you focus on affects it.
What you listen to affects it.
Who you give access to your heart affects it.
Sometimes nothing is āwrong,ā
but joy still drains when it isnāt guarded.
And sometimes joy doesnāt return loudly.
It comes back as stillness.
As stability.
As the strength to keep going.
This reflection comes from the Joy Management teaching by @e.adewusi .
Full message saved in my story/highlights (#God-posits).
What helps you protect your joy?
Iād love to hear ā comment below.
God said post.
I said, ālet me think about it.ā
And then I thought about it.
And overthought it.
And planned it perfectly⦠in my head.
How to say it.
How to frame it.
How it should look.
Sundayās message taught me that unbelief doesnāt always look like doubt ā
sometimes it looks like rationalizing why you need one more plan before you move.
I realized that sometimes unbelief is refusing to trust God ābut
itās also wanting to see how it will work before you start.
And yes, making content can be hard ā
itās not something that comes naturally to me (at least not yet).
But if God gives the instruction,
He also gives the wisdom ā often while youāre already moving.
So Iām done dallying.
Iām sharing the Word.
The summaries from church.
The life lessons.
The reflections.
And yes ā
the pictures will be cute too.
Faith doesnāt need endless explanations.
It needs obedience.
Love of Money, Unbelief & Rationalization

Iāll be sharing consistently ā engage as youāre led.
