BODYDOXY#2 MOTHER’S DOXA 02.05.2026 (EN) VIOLET Violet moves as a multi-faceted force within the electronic music landscape, contributing to her local scene from various angles. As co-founder of online radio station Rádio Quântica, dedicated to broadcasting some of the most refreshing and exciting artists in Lisbon and also as a co-founder of the venue Planeta Manas. She’s no stranger to a party, if you are one of the lucky people who got to experience the utopia that was Planeta Manas, there’s a high chance you’ve danced to one of her sets as a resident of the beloved Mina, a queer rave that has set the standard for the club scene in Lisbon. All the enviornments she’s nursed maintain this conversation between dance music and political movements, one that’s dynamic and essential like a flower that can’t help but sprout in the middle of rubble. Saturday we celebrate her and the walls she tears down and the flourishing that has come out of these truly marking projects at BODYDOXY#2. BODYDOXY#2 MOTHER’S DOXA 02.05.2026 (EN) GABBY DA GLOCK Gabby da Glock needs no introduction. Seven years ago she crossed the sea from Goiânia to Portugal and, since then, has played a fundamental role in strengthening and supporting the queer community in Portugal. The mother of Casa T, the first housing shelter dedicated to trans immigrant people in Portugal, devotes her life to creating not only a safe space but also to giving hope and dignity to those who need it most. Her impact also extends to her role within the GAT Intendente team, an organization that provides health and well-being to the queer community and sex workers. Her presence is a pillar of Lisbon’s nightlife, where she works to make the city’s best parties more inclusive and safer, as a manager of Outra Cena. This Saturday at BODYDOXY#2, we give her her well-deserved flowers and bring our bodies and attention together to give back and celebrate the mark she leaves on all of us. BODYDOXY#2 MOTHER’S DOXA 02.05.2026 (EN) VENUS AT LISBON Léti, Letícia, Vénus, @venusatlisbon , regardless of how you know her, if you know her, you know what a treasure she is! With a background in Conservation and Restoration, her engagement with the community seems to extend her education, dedicating her practice to the preservation of queer stories and experiences in Portugal. She has worked as a producer and artistic programmer at Espaço Santa Catarina since 2016 and was also involved in the production of events at ILGA Portugal LGBT+ center between 2011 and 2013. Her presence in Lisbon’s queer activist community makes her role a powerful one, opening doors for various queer talents and activists in the city’s scene to access platforms to showcase their visions. Formada em Conservação e Restauro, a sua movimentação na comunidade parece reescrever o seu ensino, dedicando a sua prática à preservação de histórias e vivências queer em Portugal como produtora e programadora artística do Espaço Santa Catarina da Junta de Freguesia da Misericórdia desde 2016 e também na produção de eventos do centro LGBT+ da ILGA Portugal entre 2011 e 2013. A sua presença e proatividade na comunidade ativista queer de Lisboa, tornam desta sua posição algo poderoso, abrindo portas para que diversos talentos e ativistas queer na cena de Lisboa tenham acesso a uma plataforma para expor as suas visões. BODYDOXY#2 MOTHER’S DOXA 02.05.2026 (EN) JADE AURA A teacher, a student, a daughter, a mother in the making. Jade Aura’s work flows from paintings to performance, from fashion to sculpture and tattooing, playing with tension between concrete and abstract, trauma and cure, physical and spiritual. Her voice in the countless panels she’s a part of around Europe as a co-author of the Adenda dos Jovens à Carta de Porto Santo, breaks walls and reinforces the power of giving the youth a platform to rethink and restructure the access and workplace conditions in the art world. The work of a MOTHER! Jade will guide us through a night of surprises, personifying her work like never before. Her artistry will be the magnifying glass on this night of celebration of the women giving wings to the community. See motherhood through her lense at BODYDOXY#2. It has taken a few days to gather thoughts, rest and process the moment we were able to create at #1 To our artists, thank you for the incredible music that struck our bodies with freedom. From Cyra’s world stopping first live performance to jahanam’s professional raunchiness and FAYXKA’s dancefloor teachings, like three stars aligning. Thank you to the staff at Casa Independente, for making sure nobody was thirsty and reassuring the smoothness of the night. To Ines, Nina, Sal, Guilherme, Mia, Tsuka and everyone involved in the creation of this night and the many months prior to it. And finally to you, the community, the bodies, the doxas, the people who came together to make this night truly unforgettable. The beauty and joy that filled the air was deeeeeeense, the looks, the energy, the dancing, the kiki, the hugs, the confident minds and the magnitude of our union.
