Check out the #IA2026 mainstage and late night lineup for this coming Wednesday, February 25th: Could They Be Wrong directed by Bodei Brouwer Could They Be Wrong? is a dramatic improvised play directed by Bodei Brouwer inspired by the movies Women Talking and Twelve Angry Men. They’re all equal, they all have a voice but could they be wrong? Clap Clap with Marta Borges, Pedro Borges, and guests CLAP CLAP is two shows in one: the story being performed, and the thoughts and commentary of the improvisers telling it. It's an improvised narrative of spontaneous creation, alternating (with two claps) between performance and 'rehearsal' modes, that allows the audience to peek into the brains of the improvisers. Conversations We Can’t Have with Amy Kraft Conversations We Can’t Have is a late-night improv show where hand puppets take on the conversations we dodge in real life—telling your boss to shove it, confessing your love to a secret crush, asking your mom why she disappeared, or having a conversation with your favorite chair -- basically, saying the lines you rehearse in your head but never say out loud. There'll also be a free and open jam to kick off the evening, especially enticing to folks who've ever wanted been inspired by kitchenware. With 12 years of improv across 5 continents, she brings vision and sharp storytelling to guide the show. Ollie Mason – technical director and musician. He crafts the live soundscapes and projections that make each performance unique. ‘Could They Be Wrong?’ is an improvised play … but what does that mean exactly? It’s a question we’ve heard many times (and yes, we asked ourselves the very same thing at the start!) To give you the best answer, we went straight to the source: our brilliant directors, Bodei & Ollie. Here’s what they had to say… 👇 “Under our guidance, the performers have rehearsed the style of play, the cadence of the scene work and how to create layered characters in a particular way. However, the whole storyline, all the dialogue and the actual characters are completely improvised. In improv, we almost always start by asking for a suggestion to inspire the show. For Could They Be Wrong? we decided to ask for suggestions well in advance. This gave us time to set the right ambience for the show and work out some of the finer details of the dilemma. But no worries, nothing has been revealed to the performers yet, they will hear the chosen scenario at the exact same time you do. Meet our director - Bodei! When she was 4, her parents said, “That’s enough! Let some drama teachers figure you out.” After giving scripted theatre a chance for 16 years, she retired. Bodei took her first improv steps 12 years ago in Amsterdam. In 2025, she became Artistic Director of Longform at easylaughs and is the director of the dramatic improv show Could They Be Wrong? She even plays improv sometimes.

Last Thursday, I got to give the closing keynote at the Scrum Event. I talked about how improv can help you become a better colleague and happier human. I managed to deliver both a message people could start using in their work and personal lives AND bring some laughs to the 300 people in the audience. I keep hearing that the demand for more women speakers is big. Well, I can't wait to take the stage again :)
