In times of rising right-wing sentiments across Europe and Germany, we at Bodega Bass Collective stand firm in our belief that celebration and community is a strong form of resistance. As the political landscape darkens, we refuse to dim our lights. Instead, we want to amplify the voices, rhythms, and melodies of the Global South – creating spaces where joy itself becomes an act of defiance. Our mission has always been to showcase BIPOC artists whose music transcends borders while challenging the systems that seek to divide us. When conservative forces push narratives of separation and fear, we respond with gatherings that connect and liberate. We recognize that dancing together is an act of resistance.
