I remember the evening we played McNeil island penitentiary for the inmates in the early 70’s. Dad got up and close the set with us. It was truly moving to hear him play, but that night was simply amazing! Sugar foot rag and orange blossom special never sounded so good. He played better than ever, and the inmates went crazy. One of my fondest memories.
