@boccamonte ) debuts with Luisa Castiglioni. Houses in Progress, an exhibition curated by Davide Fabio Colaci (
@davide_fabio_colaci ) with the scientific consultancy of Alessandro Benetti (
@ale_benetti ). The Boccamonte project, founded in 2023 in Bocca di Magra (Liguria, IT) by Maddalena Scarzella and Matteo Petrucci, presents itself for the first time as a research and design platform dedicated to enhancing the legacy of Luisa Castiglioni through archival work, study, and the development of new productions. Within Villa Pestarini, designed by Franco Albini and one of the venues of Alcova 2026, a table and a series of easels designed by Luisa Castiglioni in the 1960s for Boccamonte will be presented for the first time in iroko wood. The project is completed by Veneziana and Ango Lare, two lamps developed in dialogue with the architecture of the space. Luisa Castiglioni. Houses in Progress intertwines re-edition and new production, activating the Luisa Castiglioni Archive as a living, generative entity capable of translating Boccamonte’s architectural heritage into a contemporary vision.
