Looking back on some great days at The Amsterdam Coffee Festival.
It was special to be back in that same hall while celebrating 25 years of Bocca. It brought back memories of how it all started together with Jeffrey Young, right there in that very space.
One of the highlights was the conversation between Jeffrey and our founder Menno for the @5thwavecoffee podcast — a real full circle moment. They spoke about entrepreneurship, fair trade, and the reality for coffee farmers, topics that are still at the heart of what we do.
Always great to see both familiar and new faces, and connect over coffee again.

Kasper has been working with us for more than 12.5 years (currently as Sr Roaster), so he is highly experienced and, together with Ernest and Denis, helps safeguard the quality of all our coffees.
Recently, we added a new roaster (the machine) from the brand IMF, a 100% Italian machine (all the good stuff comes from Italy m, Ferrari, Ducati, etc.). This machine operates even more sustainably than the Loring roaster we also have (up to 30% fuel savings compared to traditional roasters).

From cherry to roast!
Every coffee starts at origin, where ripe cherries are carefully picked and processed. Dried in the sun, washed, or somewhere in between, each method shaping the final flavor.
Once dried, sorted, and prepared, the green beans travel to our roastery in Dronten. Here, we roast them with precision, unlocking the aromas and character hidden inside.
From fruit to flame, this is where coffee becomes what you taste in your cup.
