Here’s to another blessed year!
I’m so grateful for the people I’m surrounded with and the things that we’re doing.
It might be a new year, but we’re still on the same mission.
Time to attack 2026.

We are moving to Oklahoma!!!
…
It’s been nearly 6 years since I started at Supplement Superstores Kansas City.
I remember sitting in my interview with Kyle and asking him…
“What does the future of S² look like here in Kansas City? What are the opportunities?”
He said…
“We’ll have 8 stores in Kansas City, we’ll need 8 Managers, 2 District Managers, we’ll have a headquarters here in the city, and then we’ll be moving into markets outside of Kansas City”.
I remember thinking… that’s a ton growth and A LOT of opportunity…
And over the last 6 years I have been fortunate enough to be a part of that growth and opportunity.
Now the time has come for S²KC to step outside of KC and bring our culture to Tulsa, Oklahoma!
And I couldn’t feel more honored to be one of the few selected to take on this challenge.
…
I’ve spent many days in the stores here in Kansas City and have met some of the most incredible individuals, whether it be customers, gym owners, trainers, employees, co-workers, and leaders.
I’m so very grateful for anyone that has chosen to support what we are trying to accomplish. For all of the people that supported me and S² in any way… THANK YOU.
To anyone that has ever worked alongside me, thank you for the lessons, the accountability, the belief, and the desire to WIN.
To the leaders of the company I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by… Jeff and Kyle, thank you for providing me with the opportunity to learn so many lessons and the opportunity to achieve greater levels of success.
Thanks to Fred for always offering a refreshing and detached point of view on all things regarding leadership.
And a very special thank you to my girlfriend, Becca. She is very much “behind the scenes”, but has never once questioned my commitment to this career and has offered nothing but overwhelming trust and support.
Again, thank you to everyone.
I’m grateful, excited, and ready to take on a new challenge!

Gulf Shores Recap:
30 hours of road tripping (with a dog), swam 50 years to a sand bar to fish, got stung by plenty of jellyfish, lost at mini golf, won the longest corn hole game of my life, ate a lot of great food, and spent tons of quality time with the fam.
Successful vacation to say the least.

There’s something therapeutic about standing next to flowing water and melodically casting a seemingly weightless fly to entice such a delicate fish…
-
20+ hours of active fishing and more than a dozen Rainbow Trout to show for it.
-
I’m so grateful to have spent a whole weekend enveloped in one of my favorite hobbies 🐟
Final Day of Operation Transformation!
My goal with this challenge was to get lean and to make this the most accurate OT yet!
Before Photo
200lbs
100lbs Muscle
14.4% Body Fat
After Photo
185LBS
99LBS Muscle
9% Body Fat
I simplified my strategy by defining 4 metrics that were predictable of my progress and I had complete control over.
1. Diet (tracking my calories/macros)
2. Water Intake
3. Workouts
4. Cardio
There were 56 days in this challenge meaning there were 224 opportunities to WIN or LOSE.
Going into this challenge I knew there was going to be 2 days that I would be much more lenient with my diet, but aside from that, I stuck to everything.
So having won 222 of the 224 metrics, I finished with a 99% accuracy on this challenge.

About six months ago I decided I was going to restore my grandpa’s old jon boat…
I can remember him taking me out when I was probably no older than 5 years old. It’s an early 1970’s Sears boat that’s been sitting on my parents’ property for the last 20-25 years and has hardly been used since.
My brother Joe and I had talked about “bringing it back to life” a handful of times over the years and simply never got around to it. But with my Grandpa having turned 100 years old this year, I wanted to do something special for him.
After about 6 months of on/off work and somewhere between 80-100 hours of dedicated work, I was able to get just about everything restored… or at least in working order.
I ended up being able to show him on Thanksgiving and he was very happy with it. He’s sharp as a tack and started asking about how I restored everything, shared some funny stories about the boat, and told me how he used to triangulate his best fishing spots with a map & compass.
He even told me about the very first time he took that boat out on the water. He said, “I remember backing it into the water and thought ‘this is a big boat’ and got it out on the water and thought ‘this thing is a pea pod!’”
I’m looking forward to the making of my own stories around the same boat.
It’s been a few weeks so I think it’s about time I officially announce some big news…
I achieved one of my goals of becoming District Manager of Supplement Superstores Kansas City.
It’s something I’ve had my sights set on for a few years now and to finally be in this position is surreal. But, ultimately, what I feel most is gratitude.
I am grateful I saw the opportunity within this company…
I am grateful to have purposeful work…
I am grateful to be surrounded by people that make me better & want to be better themselves…
I am grateful for opportunity of taking on more responsibility…
I’m grateful to spend more of my time towards something greater than myself…
Even though this is an exciting moment for myself, I’m even more excited for the company. I’m excited to see how many more individuals we can help, how many more relationships we can create, and how many more lives we can change for the better.
And to all past, present, and future employees of S², whether we’ve had an opportunity to work together or not… THANK YOU. You’ve all made me a better person and a better leader than I was 4 years ago.
There’s no better feeling than being part of a winning team.

One thing that continues to amaze me is how much fueling the body plays into recovery.
Put very simply… two major things occur during resistance training.
1. Microtrauma of Muscle Fibers
2. Depletion of Muscular Energy
So when it comes to benefiting from my training sessions and getting ahead of the recovery curve for the next day, I look to ways to… Repair Microtrauma & Replenish Energy
Simple and straightforward…
If recovery/soreness is ever a struggle, post workout supplementation is a great place to initiate the recovery process.

Here are some of my takeaways from Murph May so far…
1. The body adapts insanely quick.
2. Everything I eat today is with the intention of performing well tomorrow.
3. I don’t sleep enough. On nights I sleep more than 7 hours I feel noticeably more recharged.
4. Pace, but push the tempo between sets. If I wait too long I fall out of rhythm… if I don’t wait long enough between sets the rest of the workout is brutal.
5. Don’t think too far ahead. It’s easy for me to start thinking about tomorrow’s Murph, thinking thinking about the push-ups when I’m doing the pull-ups, thinking about the last mile during my squats… but I feel best when I pour my focus and energy into exactly what I’m doing.
13 down
18 to go.
