No gas no problem. But no water. Big problem. Water is gold in the desert. Especially when you alone bike packing. So my budget friendly options is to went to a fish market and asked for discarded baskets so it can hold more space for water when im out in the desert in between towns. With some cable ties, & old inner tube, the baskets are secured to my bike.
Then recycle old water bottles to carry tap water. Its really helpful to wash off sandy face, brush your teeth
& cool off after a blazing sunny day.

Received good news today. The book finally out.
Couple years back during my bike packing trip I met Matias from Italy at Oman border. We both got no plan and clique instantly. We ended up exploring the whole oman together for a month.
Lots of great & fun moments together. We had so much fun and I must say I learned a lot from this dude. Few months before I started cycling I did try to detox from social media for couple months ( I nailed it) but when i met this dude, he don’t even have social media accounts. True legend.
Some part of our journey, we still charter our way using paper map. We used to argue about this satellite blocking our view while star gazing and how terrible climber I am🤣 (yeah cause alps is his backyard).
We both paddle the world for our own reasons his probably be told in that book. Im happy to be part of his adventures.
