When I was a kid, I was inspired by his wonderful stories and creations! I collected comics and I drew my own superhero stories because of him. I'm grateful to have been a #Marvel cover artist and to have met him and talked a little bit about comics! He even signed the cover to my #Avengers comic art!
I'm still inspired by him and I want to continue to create even more stories! Thank you Stan for everything! Rest in Peace #StanLee! Much Love, always!

Of course not all of it was fun, there have been heartaches, set-backs and projects that I’d like to forget (for brevity, I didn’t list all my projects. I still love quite a few not listed here.) NEIGHBORHOOD LEGEND
Yes, I am still working on my passion project #NeighborhoodLegend during my after hours.
This is a story of a street level superhero that is propelled into an epic world of mystical and mythological characters. I wanted to feature the Filipino Martial Art, #Eskrima and #FilipinoFolklore into this storyline. The main character is #FilipinoAmerican Danny Reyes, he doesn’t speak Tagalog and knows very little about his Filipino heritage. He inherits enchanted Eskrima sticks which leads him into an incredible adventure with these wonderful characters.
October is #FilipinoAmericanHistoryMonth and to celebrate, I drew this character lineup. I’m excited and hope to bring these characters and their story to the mainstream soon!

Annalisa Apoy is a powerful Eskrima practitioner and Baybaylan mystic. She is training to become a master and is a member of Grandmaster Liwayway’s Baybaylan group.
The Baybaylan are mystical shamans and spiritual leaders. In my mind, they are like the badass Golden Girls and within the story, they all have strong opinions on who should hold the enchanted Eskrima sticks. The sticks in wrong hands can lead to death and destruction, but in righteous hands can bring peace and enlightenment.
#AnnalisaApoy and the #Baybaylan are featured in my #CreatorOwned Indie Comic the NEIGHBORHOOD LEGEND! I will launch a Kickstarter campaign later this year. The book 100% done, so there is no risk. If you’re interested sign up to get notified, the link is on my IG bio!

My kids have the best Mom. She is smart, resilient, patient, loving, caring and kind. She’s a #BoyMom #TwinMom #AutismMom #PreSchoolTeacher and #BreastCancerSurvivor and just one of those things would be incredible in itself and honestly, I don’t know how she does it all! She is freaking amazing! All I know is that I am ridiculously blessed to call this beautiful woman my wife. The boys and I LOVE YOU, SO SO MUCH! Thank you for everything that you do for us!

The pic is of my baby bro, Ron. Me. And my Mom. My middle brother, Anthony is not in the picture.
So I just watched the new “Malcolm in the middle” “Life’s still Unfair” series and I loved it! I love that show, because it reminds me of my family growing up. Now it’s not an exact 1 to 1, but my brother Ron says that I’m Francis the oldest brother, because I was never around. Not because I was in boarding school, but because I was out with my girlfriend, Susan in high school. My middle brother, Anthony was the smart one and Ron was Dewey. He said it, not me. And our mom was kinda like Lois. Not completely, mind you. But there were definitely similarities. #BoyMoms are a special breed, man! You gotta love them. So when I watch Lois on the show, it’s with a fondness and love for her. She’s awesome!
My mom was a boss! Literally. She had her own clothing manufacturing shop when we were little. I saw her hustle, her work ethic and her strength. She was and still is my inspiration. I love you Mom! Thank you for everything! 🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
HAPPY TEACHERS APPRECIATION WEEK!
It’s that time again when we take time to give flowers to all our teachers and mentors who have guided and nurtured us through the years! I am so appreciative of all my children’s teachers as well as my own. We have been blessed to have them in our lives and I am so grateful for their dedication, love and commitment.
I want to give a shoutout to my beautiful wife Susan, who has been teaching for a decade. She is the Director of her nursery school and is retiring this year! It’s been a decade of teaching and shaping the lives of amazing children. I have seen the tremendous amount of love and care that she puts into her students and I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments! The last few weeks are going to be crazy, I’m sure it will be full of tears of joy, a bit of sadness and also a sense of pride. It’s all deserved. So much deserved. Congratulations Teacher Susan, you’re so talented and wonderful and you have created a wonderful legacy for the Oakland community!
