It’s been years since I’ve shared a piece of my own soul like this.
Many of you know my journey through the lens of EDM and international pop—from the energy of “Last Night” with Snoop Dogg and Ian Carey, to the global reach of “Rio De Janeiro.” At the height of those lights and the heavy tour schedules, I hit pause. I walked away from the main stage to take on the most important role of my life: being a stay-at-home dad for my firstborn.
I’ve spent the last few years staying active behind the scenes, writing and producing for other artists, but the desire to release my own music didn’t return until now. From my roots as an 11-year-old rapper to the R&B groups of my high school years and the Chicano rap albums I produced, every chapter has led to this sound.
“You around..” is my me, my life, and exactly what I feel today. I’m making this for me, but I’m so honored to finally share it with you.

I was recently asked to be a part of a very special project curated by the extremely talented @joshuacoe titled “A City Rising” here in my hometown of @cityofphoenixaz we discussed the diversity we’ve faced within the community over the years but most importantly about the shift in energy the community has seen bringing us together. 🤎 Thank you so much for the opportunity, Josh! Your vision is unmatched. 🙏🏽✊🏽✨ I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to speak about my father and keep his memory alive even though the story is sad, it’s a reality for very many of us. I used my pain as a tool and forced all of that energy into creative hobbies like music and photography etc; after becoming a father myself and through the beautiful memories I hold..I created @onasundayafternoon to ensure those moments remain close. Today marks another year I don’t get to celebrate his birthday with him but I will always celebrate him and the short time (20yrs) he was able to spend here. Happy heavenly Birthday Dad! 🤎✨ I sit in comfort knowing that you’re back with your Mom and Dad. Love you guys. ✨🕊️
