Nothing has ever been handed to me. Every blessing, every opportunity, I’ve had to fight for it. I never had people fighting for me. And yet, through the tears, I showed up.
Sanctuary Pariahs is an feature film, created by an African-Australian producer and director daniel Okoduwa who poured their whole hearts into bringing this story to life.
This film is based on a true story—a story that reflects the struggle, the pain, and the resilience of African immigrants seeking refuge, seeking sanctuary, in cities that were never built for us.
This role broke me open. I cried. I broke down. I was challenged in ways I never imagined. But I gave it everything my soul, my heart, my whole self.
Now, against all odds, Sanctuary Pariahs is officially a contender for the 2026 AACTA Awards. 🙌🏾 Happy to share that I’m in consideration for Best Lead Actress in film Sanctuary Pariah, and Best Supporting Actress for my roles in Carmen and Boulde.
