Looking back at these videos always feels a little strange.
I see how happy she is.
I also see how much time I was gone.
There’s a real cost to chasing whatever we’re chasing, and unfortunately the people who love us carry part of that too.
I had to leave to grow. To serve. To figure out who I am. To make the music I’m making now. But none of this could have happened without her foundation.
I’m grateful for the freedom I was given to choose my own path. And I don’t take lightly the fact that she’s had to be strong while I walk it.
“Promise” is out now everywhere.

That’s the essence of Lost in Translation.
Born after Gaza,
written through moments of being lost in Colombia.
Finding connection in the confusion.
A song built on chaos,
but carrying hope. 🕊️

I used to need permission to eat. Now I’m making music in Medellín.
After the army, I tried to build a life in Tel Aviv. I became a barber to be like the Zohan, while chasing a dream of becoming a rapper. But nothing was clicking. One setback after another. I felt stuck.
So when a friend invited me on a trip to Medellín, I put all my stuff at my friend’s mom’s house and flew out with no real plan.
The first three weeks were great, but then they left and I found myself alone in a foreign city.
Stumbling upon a studio on the top floor of the Selina. I started trading Hebrew lessons for studio time and recording classes. That’s how I met Miguel.
Miguel introduced me to an insanely talented producer named Faker. One session turned into another, and I realized something real was happening.
I ended up maxing out two tourist visas just to stay longer. Even overstayed by a day and got fined, but it was all worth it.
I still don’t fully understand how this all came together. But the dreams I had back in the army… are now the new normal. 🇨🇦🇮🇱🇨🇴🇻🇪
Real Gs move in silence… and so do people deep in disassociation soup 🧠
