Started in a shed in Torquay. Now shipping worldwide. Here’s the 9-year ride.
2017–2018: Dan and Sarah, two siblings from Victoria see there’s no creative, innovative surfboard sock on the market and start making their own out of Sarah’s shed in Torquay. After a lot of sample development and testing, they launch their first designs.
2018: Dan sets off travelling for the year with two of his best mates (mostly for “R&D” 😏) journeying through Sri Lanka, France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco to test Boardsox covers in as many conditions as possible.
2019: Travel to Indo with our friends from
@goodgrief and shoot an epic promo video for the website!
2020: Drop funky towel hoodies and surf hats, early to the game, little did we know how many would follow.
2021: Launched travel covers and collaborated with incredible artists like
@saltwaterdreamtime and
@ozzywrong . Kicked off our artist + charity series.
2022: Spotted a gap in the market for longboard carry slings, bloody hard to carry and no one was making cool ones. Proudly made right here in Australia.
2023: Big year. Moved into our first warehouse in Torquay and ran a Birchal capital raise, bringing on investors and raising over $250,000.
2024: Launched our Zipperless Cover in collaboration with Aussie product designer Liam Gibson, plus our Sand Mate change mats for getting out of your wetty.
2025: Moved into our new Warehouse HQ in Ocean Grove, becoming an epicentre for our Victorian community. Sharing it with our mate Simon from
@4dsurfboards .
2026: New hat collection, new covers incoming, an epic content trip to Indo under the belt, and another crack at the USA this summer on the cards.
Proud to be Australian-run and family owned. Most of our products are designed by Sarah and made by Sarah, Tania and our Mum Jenn, keeping it local and always trying to push what’s possible.🦘
