Open Wider The Door coming this Friday (06.09), cover art by @itslaurameek . This is the solo work I’ve been labouring over for the past year or so. It feels like I’ve been working on it for a lot longer. Maybe spiritually and emotionally so. It’s unlike anything I’ve done in the past in that it is a musical shift from my usual..strings, no drums, harmonies etc..some might say is even verges on sounding sophisticated..It’s a personal record which evolved during a period of flux. Not much more can be said without my tarnishing it. I look forward to letting it go. Pre orders open now - I’m still awaiting the vinyl order, more will be revealed

I remember seeing Jacob Yates and his Pearly Gate Lock Pickers almost 10 years ago at Joytown Grand Electric after a screening of a short Bukowski film. a pivotal moment for a 22 year old young man fulla Bucky..music became more accessible and I grew out of my Pete Doherty phase and into the realm of the sumptuous sounds of the Glasgow underground..
this is a long winded way of saying I will be playing in support of Jacob Yates and his formation and it is a true honour
It’ll be my last gig for a good while before I start a totally new project…get a ticket, it only holds about 40 ffs !!
