On Friday, April 17, from 6:30–8:30 PM, Jess Keyes will perform π˜—π˜’π˜΅π˜ͺ𝘦𝘯(𝘡/𝘀𝘦), a live performance exploring waiting, endurance, vulnerability, and the experience of being made patient within medical systems. Incorporating biofeedback, the performance brings these themes into intimate, embodied form. Then on Saturday, April 18, from 1–3 PM, Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition will lead a harm reduction and wound care program grounded in practical knowledge, mutual aid, and community care. compassionate overdose response involves using yhe smallest amount of naloxone possible, examples 3mg Revive or 4mg Narcan use of Kloxxado 8mg is unnecessary and significantly increases the risk of severe, distressing side effects such as being violently thrown into withdrawal. Research has shown that a 4 mg dose is generally sufficient to reverse opioid overdoses, including those involving fentanyl.

πŸŽ‰Health Care for the Homeless is honored to be among the first recipients of Baltimore City’s Opioid Restitution Fund community grants. Last week, @mayorbmscott joined us at our Fallsway Clinic as President & CEO Kevin Lindamood accepted a $500,000 award to support our work to reduce overdose deaths and address the negative health effects of homelessness. Contrary to what some representatives of our state say, those in support of SB0050 and/or HB0679 aren’t not interested in "Protecting the Children". Wednesday 2/18 @transmaryland opposed two bills threatening to limit the ability for trans minors and female athletes to live their best lives. Advocates spoke against the transphobic ideas/rhetoric of the supporters of this bill that trans girls in sports during the SB0050 "Fairness in Girls Sports Act" hearing. After that hearing (which happened mid day) HB0679 "Cross-Sex Hormone Therapy for Minors", (starting around 7:30PM) starting around where the supporters tried making their case for the harm thats caused were countered by facts, personal stories and the kind of empathy for others that only some of the most marginalized populations can have. All in all, everyone was in Annapolis for about 9hrs. The world around us may be shitty but people writing testimony and testifying in front of legislators should give us all hope.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH PART ONE BMORE POWER Not only one of the first community based harm reduction organizations in Baltimore City, the organization was and still is predominantly Black. Doing street outreach in the Black butterfly of Baltimore, providing supplies and education to the population most affected by the Racist War On Drugs. Their work continues to be influential and instrumental to savaging lives. this is only a snapshot of the work they've done within Baltimore City with only a few members-- each deserves flowers
