Soooo... this weekend I did a thing, I made my film directorial debut on the fashion film "RUGGED."
What an amazing experience and exercise in leadership, community building, creative perspective expansion, problem solving, just all the things!

Telling someone’s story is never just about getting a clean frame or a strong soundbite it’s about handling their truth with care. As filmmakers, we’re not just capturing moments, we’re shaping how people are seen.
This is our standard lighting setup for interviews. A problem I had to solve for this project was I didn't have a Bcam but through quick focused planning I was able to execute with one camera for both angles.. watch till end for screen grabs!

We all love gear and tech but acquisition be can tricky because it's easy to get caught up in the specs. To me what's most important is how does it fit into my workflow!!
When buying buy camera gear do you purchase based off Specs or Workflow?
When running a small business a lot of times you have to wear all the hats and do all the things. It's tough for sure but it's all good because the journey is worth it. Use best practices, plan/strategize, always be collaborative, and keep showing up for yourself everyday🙏🏿🤎
2025 was a year of highs and lows. This was my first year as a full-time creative entrepreneur. I designed and opened my creative studio, worked on meaningful projects, guided interns to an award-winning short film, built community, strengthened relationships, and focused on education & strong foundations.
Grateful for the experiences, the people and the process. Looking forward to 2026 and all the things we will create!
