1971 K20 with a 6” lift and 4-wheel disc brakes. The frame has been powder-coated with all new hardware. Has a Redhead steering box, The underside of the cab and bed are coated with black Raptor liner for long-term durability and rust protection. Has powder coated 20 inch white Detroit steel wheels, new 35x12.50 20 tires with original 3/4 ton Chevy hubcaps.
Truck is powered by a 350 with edelbrock intake and a New 1406 carb, New water pump, New alternator, Turbo 350 automatic transmission and NP205 transfer case. Runs and drives great. New 2 1/2 exhaust from the manifolds back with flowmaster 40 series mufflers.
Interior features the original tilt steering column and factory tach dash. Pioneer CD player with speakers in the doors, new black carpet, black scroll-pattern seat, and black door panels with wood grain trim, New door seals
The orange paint is an older paint job that still shows very well and has been polished but does have some paint chips and flaws, the white on the sides and the roof was done recently with a base clear bright white.

Welllll…. We had some technical difficulties today. Long story short, cam went flat on cylinder 3 and 6. Engine builder came by and confirmed. Soooo… time to get to work. Among the several stop ins and other projects going on at @southendryder place- we reassembled the other K20 chassis we had on hand but had stole the rear springs out of, rolled it out. Stole that motor. Pulled the cab and front clip off the Creamsicle as @bretcarter59 refers to it as and swapped the motor in. Old, “new” motor is headed back to the machine shop in the morning. All in a days work. I should’ve taken up gardening. 🤣 couple more hours this week after work and she’ll be ready for final clean and a new home.

Putting this puzzle together today with @bmfm64 this morning he brought over the chassis. Put the body, bed and front end on, upper trim, and mocked up a spare set of @detroitsteelwheelco we had sitting around to see if we should go 37s instead of 35s
All the metal work on the floors, floor braces, cab corners, inner and outer rockers are done and it’s raptor lined on the bottom side. Rockers, cab corners, rockers and firewall are painted too it’s ready for the #k20 frame here real soon. #6772chevytrucks #70k20
Some days you gotta lock yourself in the shop and get shit done. The white 69 I did inner, outer rockers, rear floor brace, cab corners and some floor patches. Today I knocked out the bodywork on the cab corners and rockers and prepped and primed the firewall. @bretcarter59 is finishing up the 71 he did the white center and roof and touched up some orange. @bmfm64 has both of the chassis that @jrock_4224 powder coated for us both with 6 inch lifts, 350-Th350 205 transfer cases and they’ll both be on @detroitsteelwheelco both will be for sale soon!
