Introducing TAH & CalvoMusic - two of the biggest pioneers in the Club Music Scene representing New Jersey‘s and Baltimore‘s deep and rich club legacy. @tah_heaux is a Producer & DJ from New Jersey - his sound can be described as transcending time, cultures and borders. Known for his plethora of unreleased tracks just to play it out, he’s been constantly releasing bangers for the past 6 years. His latest release „Candycrush“ is not even a week old. @calvomusic production journey began in 2011, joining MoreThanMusic in 2012. In 2016, he co-founded the producer collective „THE HYPIES“ with Mac, Juice, DJ Glo 410, and DeeTheProducer. The Subgenre „New Club Waves“ was officially established in 2018, contextually predated by other newer sounds developing around the same time. CalvoMusic has released projects with international labels like Emince Records, Knightwerk, and Nightslugs, and has been hosting shows on stations such as Oroko, NTS, Rinse FM, and The Lot Radio. 🐝 BUMBLE this Saturday! Yes you heard right, a very spontaneous and informal one but being spontaneous is a melticulously prepared art, right? We‘re super excited to be bringing an exciting Line Up for this one focusing on Gqom and it‘s intertwinements to Baile Funk, Dembow, Jersey Club, UK Funky, Hard Drum and other bass-driven genres which have been hugely inspired by Durban‘s biggest sonic export for the past 15 years. To honour this agenda we got a special gift for you - the producer trio Omagoqa is blessing us with their selection of Gqom sub-genres including uThayela & Is‘qinsi. Recently being featured by mixmag for artists to watch in 2025 and having played at places like Rinse fm, Tresor Berlin, Boiler Room Joburg, Search Festival and many more they have been true pioneers both locally and internationally. To set the vibe right for the night Taf‘s bringing a selection of Broken Beat, House and bass-heavy sounds followed by the incredible soulchoke blessing us with their very own interpretation of Gqom- and Afrotech. 🦋🫧 Join us for an intimate night of skillsharing, conversation and comedy with Jumping Back Slash. @thisisjbs is going to guide us through an informal introduction to mixing music suitable for anyone at any level who wants to get a better understanding of some techniques. The intention is to show that good results can be achieved without the need for expensive software or hardware. 🫧 Jumping Back Slash is a producer, mixing engineer, friend and enemy. With releases on labels like Future Bounce, Club Yeke, Enchufada and Cotch International as well as his label Swak Catalog (run with Aryu Jassika) he has been an important figure in electronic music production in South Africa and internationally. He’s mixed record for artists such as Brooke Candy, Mina, Omo Frenchie, Clara La San, Okzharp, Misogi, Branko, Fantasma and Batuk and loads of other SA independent aritsts. With his work he tries and keeps an affordable price for all clients as mixing and mastering is a luxury for an independent artist. The workshop is free and for everyone.
