Behind the scenes, a #photoshoot in the BlushPretty studio make not look like much. We have a brick wall, some tables, and some natural sunlight.
But we make it work … and we end up with what we wanted all along anyhow - a stunning visual!

Every little girl WANTS #piercedears.
Every little girl does NOT want to get #pierced.
Both these statements are true.
For our 14 and under set, pierced ears with a cute little CZ stud is great, but not the process to get there! It’s scary - no doubt!
The goal at our piercing studios is to offer a quiet, private, and intimate experience where your child can feel and express the smallest and biggest of emotions without the curious eyes of others.
Our approach at each appointment is simple :
- the opportunity to ask us all the questions that help them process the steps of getting pierced to making sure they are comfortable with aftercare;
- providing ample time to consider jewellery options and placement;
- incorporating breathing and meditative techniques to ease through the process; and
- taking our cue from the client to let us know when they’re ready for the final step. No rushing!
We focus on comfort and care first, which is why we don’t accept walk-ins and run by appointment only. It allows us to carve out the right amount of time for each individual client because some children just need more time. And we’re okay with that.

The lesson I learned : Always bet on myself!
Sure carrying a lease and trying to run BlushPretty and the others can be a bit heavy at times, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I made it this far, for this long, in the weirdest of times. God is good!
