We lost a true legend this week. A hero of sorts. Beloved by most. Probably feared by a few. Someone to look up to, but impossible to match. A man of principle. Stong work ethic and uncompromising integrity. He knew something about everything. Undeniable. Badass.

#21 on the indie folk chart
#62 on the indie pop chart
.
Just what is on it, you ask? Well, it’s conceptual programming at the highest level— it’s a smattering of some of the greatest indie rock anthems of 1999 (plus an obvious intro by Prince). Look at the list, and I think you’ll agree, it was a great year for music.
.
Please enjoy these gratuitous photos from 1999 as a visual to the audio. Cheers

In With the Out Sound’s yearly installment of holiday tears and cheers is up now at /nolski — and will be rebroadcast tomorrow (12/24 8pm est) over the interwaves on @booneareacommunityradio .
Every year I promise myself not to do a Christmas set. I just wouldn’t want to put either of us through it. Then I find a few deep cuts and think, ‘well I’ll just sprinkle a few in.’ Then, just about an hour before the show, the spirit has moved me in such a way that I land up broadcasting another all-Christmas show. For the next 120mins, I do a complete 180. Funny how moods work.
As always, you may want to think twice before breaking this out at the party. At the same time, it may be perfect for the right kind of party. What follows are some of the darker, more chilling , poignant transmissions of the holiday season. Bangers & Bummers. Right up my alley. Hope it fits well in your alley too.
Cheers. Happy Holidays

Happy 11/19. Please join us tonight at 8pm as ‘In With the Out Sound’ receives the invitation to invade the interwaves. Only on @booneareacommunityradio
We send our thoughts and hearts out to the good people of Boone and nearby communities recently affected by Hurricane Helene. As the town begins to recover, many parts of town remain flooded and inaccessible, while internet and power are still down. From what I hear the community has come together in amazing ways to help each other out during these hard times, and it’s important everyone should check in with their friends out there and offer up any help they can.
While Boone Area Community Radio remains off the air locally, I’m going to try and patch in remotely and host tonight’s show in solidarity. Listen in if you want. 8-10 EDT, on the great booneareacommunityradio.com
Like a kind and wise man likes to say, ‘Stay with it’ 🤙❤️👈
